During World War II it was no secret that the Germans were diligent in their pursuit for scientific intelligence and advancement because the Germans needed a weapon that would secure victory for their country and establish them as the dominant world power. Researchers report that the Germans were developing a “Wunderwaffen” (or wonder weapon) to change the tides and win the war.

Researchers also point out that near the end of the war and after, there seemed to be an increase in UFO activity in the form of strange glowing orbs often reported in enemy skies by American and British pilots. These orbs were seen both during the day and night and would demonstrate fantastic maneuvers and also keep pace with the pilot’s planes all the while mimicking their flight patterns. Pilots coined these strange crafts and lights “foo-fighters” and their origins or purpose were never truly discovered or disclosed.

At the end of the war, both Soviets and Americans agreed that some German technological advances were superior and far exceeded their current research by at least 25 years. These two world powers were concerned about capturing and securing as many German scientists for their own country's research and benefit. The German scientists that were captured and brought to American were enlisted under Operation Paperclip and granted immunity and protection from their crimes in exchange for their military and technological secrets and expertise. These former Nazis would go on to become respectful parts to the future of American military and space weapons research and development programs. One of America’s key Nazi scientists, Hermann Oberth, would confidentially admit that the reason that Germany excelled at this technology during the war was because they were helped by “other-worldly” entities.

As well as scientific advantages it has been well documented that the Nazis were also diligently seeking advancement through spiritual powers. Tales of occult research and practices have also found their way in historical books about the Third Reich. One organization that seemed to fascinate the German hierarchy was a mystical organization called the Vril Society. This Vril Society claimed that they could contact the beginnings of the Aryan Race from extra or ultra-terrestrials. Though the German scientists have claimed to learn a great deal about the manufacturing of cigar and saucer-shaped craft from these contacts with spiritual entities, it was reported that they could never understand “the Vril” (or the force) to propel these constructions.

As an interesting side note, diagrams of Die Glocke feature a bell shaped craft with mysterious writing or hieroglyphics around the bottom of the bell. In the 1960’s, a crashed UFO would be found by local residents in the town of Kecksburg, Pennsylvania in which this bell-shaped craft also depicted similar (if not the same) characters around the bottom of the bell.

The Die Glocke claim comes from one source, a Igor Witowski, who alleged he'd seen top secret files of the experiment, and his claims were further spread amongst conspiracy buffs by new age author and conspiracy monger Nick Cook in his book The Hunt for Zero Point. No evidence other than Witowski's claim exists.
