Text steps:
Step 1: Click "Run"
Step 2: Type in "REGEDIT"
Step 3: Click on the drop down menu by "HKEY_CURRENT_USER"
Step 4: Click the drop down menu on "Control Panel"
Step 5: Go down to desktop -> WindowsMetrics
Step 6: Right click -> New -> String Value
Step 7: Type in "MinWidth"
Step 8: Right click on "MidWidth" -> Modify -> Change value data to: -254
Step 9: Restart your computer then you are all good!

its ok. but i found a way to do this ages ago with nothing to do with what you did. it was originally made for xp to make it look like vista

viorb changes the start button to the vista round one
viexplore is a file browser like vistas
viglance makes the taskbar like win7
vistart is the start menu like vista.
EDIT: forgot to mention these are free btw.
