you plug that cable into both xboxs right under where the wireless adapter pluggs into and when you creat a lobby on one xbox you join a lobby on the other and you join your own lobby which there should only be one lobby to join sience your are only hooked to on other xbox

so instead of going through the router.... i just plug the ethernet cord to both of the xbox's internet hook ups in the back of them???

yeah pretty much thats why they call it system link... its cause your linking both systems together with the cable.

well did you fallow the inscructions step by step just go double check and make sure you didnt do anything wrong

what about the mod menu one mate that sounds good!!

Do you clear your cache to play these or is it fine to just unplug your ethernet cable.
Or alternatively is it fine to just play splitscreen ?

yea, make sure you clear the system cache before you play
