Hi,

I am in dash 12611 according to the system settings on a jtagged falcon. I didn't do the work but I was given a disc with files/keys, though i don't know much about what they are for yet.

Through researching the forums i have come up with this.

I should put the 12611 update on the root of a usb stick and power on the jtagged machine. It will only take the non updated parts (avatar part i believe). I have heard that you must have the "resistor" removed or bridged. I have read that if this was updated directly from 9199 nand and the resistor is removed i should be ok.

Problem is, i don't know if was from a 9199 and i don't know that the resistor was removed. I have the update on a stick and curiosity is about to kill the cat. I have spent several days reading the forums. Just afraid to pull the trigger.

By the way, this tutorial rocks and has been very imformative

I had the 12611 dashboard on my Jtag and Kinect wouldn't work (along with Avatars only showing grey outline) so I searched about.
All I did was what you've put there, put the update on the root of a USB stick, power on and it updated the rest. Took no longer than a few seconds to finish and all is working. I haven't removed or bridged my RT63 Resistor or anything like that and mine hasn't had any problems. I don't think you'd need to remove or bridge it seeing as it's not doing a complete update, only the missing parts.

As for the 9199 you're on about, that was the version of the last dashboard, and thus I can't see that being of any relevance if you're already on 12611... (I could be wrong so don't hold me on that, but I don't think so).

Anyway I hope I helped in some way.

As for that I cannot help you out. I only downloaded a couple so my brother that got Kinect could try them before he decided what games he wanted to actually purchase for his normal console. And he's only 9 so yeah...
I must say that Kinectimals looked pretty fun though. :')
Sorry I can't be of more help though, brah.
