Hi guys, i recently bought a rrod xbox off ebay for 20 and I fixed the red ring however now I am faced with a new problem.
The xbox worked fine until I realized that it would not play any xbox games, only dvd's.
I then bought a brand new replacement drive and replaced the pcb from the old drive to keep the drive key.
It still has the exact same problem and now I can't play any games without it saying play DVD.
I have a Benq drive with VAD6038 or whatever.
Any fixes or help would be nice!!!

Well seeing how no one has given you the correct answer, I will be the bad news bear..
Whoever had that console before hand, didn't put the original PCB/Drive back in there.
Your dvd drive's key is not matching your motherboards.
If you do not have your mobo's key to flash onto your dvd drive, that console is now a heavy dvd player.
Only way to save it if the dash is exploitable..7371 and below..
