Does anyone else have the problem where Black Ops WON'T save your data?
I.E. Campaign Progress, Zombie Progress, Custom Classes, settings, etc.
Whenever I go to play online, I have to redo all of my settings, and it gets annoying.
And whenever i go back to zombies, only the FIRST map is unlocked, so I have to unlock all of the maps all over again EVERY TIME I want to play zombies.
Campaign mode won't even save my progress.
I've tried installing to my HDD, but nothing changed.
Does anyone know WHY this is happening?

Same thing happened to me, but i fixed it.
At the dashboard, go to system settings, choose memory, then where it tells you to choose a memory device, click "y", then click " Clear System Cache".
This is what worked for me. This does not delete anything. All it does is make everything flow easier and fix problems with games that might have saved wrong or anything like that.
Try that and let me know if it fixed your problem.

I've done that countless times before to remove patches, I'll try it again after this match and tell you if it worked.
EDIT: It didn't work.

Iv got black ops saving now but had to create a new profile and live account, i think the reason for the game not saving was to do with the profiles being edited with game saves edited also i cant remember what programs i used at the time but had edited gamer scores and MW2 game saves, what i did was move the profiles from the hhd to a usb memory stick took the stick out of the xbox then set up the new profile with the one months free gold membership (learnt that trick here) and all seems to be fine now, im guessing i must have done something wrong when i was messing about with the profiles and game saves.
Anyone else with black ops not saving edited their profiles or game saves?

this has happened to me, but my profile was like semi-corrupted. I could still go on it, but it wouldn't save any settings (like you), and I got lucky and it got fixed when I modded something (modding ftw)
