I just was playing my xbox today on MW2, and went offline for a while. I just re-modded my G/S (correctly) and then whenever I try to put in a disc, it says, "reading disc", then "open tray". It's like it isn't recognizing any disc in the drive. I have tried 4 different games too. Can someone help me out please?
EDIT: I removed all of my storage devices, then it recognize all of the 4 games, then i signed in and it was all better. Keep this thread in case anyone has the same problem I did and then they know how to fix it.

this happened to me a while ago unfortunately i had to send it into microsoft to get fixed. The problem was that over time dust collects in the disc drive and damages the laser that reads discs. Another thing that can happen is there is a special magnet in the drive and sometimes it breaks off and causes that error. The up-side is that it only takes about a week from shipping it back to Microsoft and receiving it. Unlike the RROD though there is no special fix like the famous towel trick

Well you don't really need to go and send it to get it fixed. I fixed mine very easily. All you have to do is when you put your game in, hold the disc tray up, and hold it up as it's going into the Xbox.
I hope this help you.

Or you could replace the drive. They run around $25-$40. Had the same problem. Got worse then quit. Easy to fix though.
