I have wanted to get into the modding community for quite a while. I've wanted 10th prestige and all it's glory. I've gone through the process of boosting ( DO NOT RECOMMEND IT ) with no avail. The one time I did trust a guy with my info for 10th prestige, I immediately got hacked. I had to make a new account.
I was wondering if there were any supplies I'd need to start modding that I don't already have. AND I cannot for the life of me find anything on YouTube or any other site for that matter, that would help me start up. I used to hack on games like Counter Strike: Source, but it just went as far as downloading an injector and a .dll and starting the game up.
Could anyone help me out? Some friendly advice possibly? Please spare me of the "N3WB GTFO MY FORUM!"
( P.S. If a computer is needed for modding, which I'm sure it is, I have a mac laptop. Good enough? )

Need a transfer cable, but thats simple modding. You won't be able to do tenth lobbies till your more experienced. In Hawaii now, so I will be happy to help more later, but on vacation. Feel free to pm me and I can try and respond via iPhone.

As far as transfer cables go, will like a 20$ one suffice, even for later on, if I want to get into harder, more experienced modding?
And as for the xport360, I looked at a few sites a moment ago ( codejunkies etc. ) and it didn't really describe what it was. Is it like an external hardrive for modding?

macs dont work i have one they arent made by microsoft so it doesnt work or atleast on my mac

Ok first just go to ebay and buy a resonable priced tranfer cable.
Xport is a program that lets you view all the files on your harddrive, it also lets you drag them out of the hardrive for modding
For 10th lobbies you would need a jtag which i don't recommend you doing until you are experienced and know some things about soldering.
Another type of modding is hot swapping which requires you to open up your xbox and put modded games onto the hdd.Using a swapping tecnique with a normal game and a modded game Research it on YOUTUBE
Things you can do with a transfer cable include GT modding, splitscreen modding,campaign modding on many games , some games you can mod your xp online such as Red faction Gurrilla or whatever i think.

modio(has many mod tools)
EZGT 2.2 for gt modding
CoD tool 1.5 for nazi zombies offline
Hex editor for other things and many other tools which im to lazy too list :p
