Hi on the PS3 I have the HDMI cord plugged in and the HD Component cables and when I try to connect to the hd components it doesn't set up to it and will only stay the hdmi cables. please help

I Have your answer bro it is simple
when you had the HDMI pluged it it has way better quality so sinc you are switchin to Component it isnt being compatible so what you do is turn off the PS3 when you turn on the system HOLD the power button untill you see somethin on the screen. this should reset your viddeo setting

Thanks it worked now finally I can make some videos with HD PVR again!
