5 Simple Steps on How To Tell what type of disc drive your Xbox 360 Console has.
1.Eject any disc inside the disc drive.
2.Turn off the Xbox 360.
3.Remove Xbox 360 HDD and/or Memory Unit.
4.Remove Xbox 360 Face Plate.
5.Check wires directly under the words Xbox 360 on the Disc Drive.
-Red and Black represents a Samsung Drive. A Black Plate over top of the hole represents a Hitachi Drive. Yellow Wires Represent a Phillips Lite-On Drive. White wires represent the BenQ Drive. Many People believe the BenQ is best and the Samsung is the worst.
