I decided to play minecraft today. But I couldn't I was running 2 FPS on the shortest render distance and fast graphics. If I play in browser I get 70FPS on Maxed out graphics.
Whats causing this? I set the priority to Realtime and that didn't help. I waited 5 mins for the world to load. Nothing.

Minecraft does not have memory reserve so it can be using up to 2 gb of ram a second.

I have a custom built laptop. Got it 2 years ago when I played World of Warcraft so that I could play lag free with good graphics.
