i was having a hard time until i tried my own way and it worked perfectly

1 have your friend invite you to player match

2 then switch to private match

3 edit the game to unlimited time then 30000 points

4 change game type to demo

5 change map to nuketown

6 switch to wager match

(here is where mine is different then others)

7 host dashboards while the non-host player goes to his player card and hovers over save and exit

8 now invite the old host back

9 change to wager then player match really fast

10 the match will start then!!!!

( if it says need more players to balance teams have the new host back out and rejoin via invite)
all credit goes to the founders this is just a way i have found that is working for me and to help out anyone having trouble with it please try this way out and report back.
