Hello, everyone!
I'm seeing this more and more every day. We all see them, but we react incorrectly to them. Let's say, for arguments sake, I post a thread along the lines of "sup i liek totaly liek xbox". What I see many people do is post "Useless thread" or "SPAM LULZ GTFO". What they do not know, is they are also spamming. Just report the thread, and don't even post.
Tldr: Don't post on a spam post. Report it and move on.

Agreed.
Turns out that the majority of the spam comes from users spamming a spammer. I noticed this a while back, but never knew if anyone else did.

Exactly my point. I don't think the OP cares that you tell them the post is reported.
It's just a case of people trying to +1 their post count.

Yup.
It's a chain reaction. Spammer makes sutpid post, someone comments "Cool Story Bro 20202020", stupid post gets bumped to the top of the recent posts allowing another person to see it and comment "L0L u spam 2020202020", etc.
1 report and no posts solves the issue without any spam.
