1. Download the jailbreak - you can get that here [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

2. Download the PS3 3.55 Official Firmware here - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (only if you have CFW)

3. Make a folder on your flashdrive called PS3, inside that folder make one called UPDATE

4. Put the official PS3 firmware in the update folder.

5. Navigate to the system update tab on the PS3 XMB.

6. Click on Update via Storage Media.

7. Click the 3.55 firmware

8. Wait till' the update is done.

9. When it is done, follow steps 3-5 but instead of putting the official firmware in the UPDATE folder, put the Geohot 3.55 Jailbreak CFW in.

10. Navigate to the system update tab on the PS3 XMB.

11. Click on Update via Storage Media.

12.Click update.

13. There should be 9 - 12 weird beeps. Your PS3 will shut off. This means it worked!

myn does the beeps but when i turn it on no install package files are there help? ill rep if you get me working

Does it show up under game saying Install package files?

It should..

You need the .pkgs to install, this firmware only puts the install package files feature in.
