I don't see the point of them making Thetechgame unavailable. It does not affect on Multiplayer, and people that get scammed from videos and claim to be from TTG should be scammed

I have a theory, may be far fetched but I dont see it being at all out of their capability. Since many GPD files back when that was possible had the creators of them using TTG or The Tech Game as custom class names, they saw (Treyarch) an opportunity to catch modderes in the future by flagging "The Tech Game" or "TheTechGame" and I'm sure many other class names such as S7's (won't type the full forum name) so that when the servers recognized players online with that data (after making it prohibited to use as proven in the OP), they then basically were able to immediately see which Gamertags had that information as a Custom Class and as a result, modifications of a sort were the obvious reason. They could potentially have the server temp ban any profile or CoD playercard with this text and that would greatly cut back the man power they previously needed to have; manually going and investigating possible modders or threatening gamertags using infections or what not, and with the insta-flag theory (I guess I just manifested straight from my imagination or arse), the server and bot's scanning all the time makes it easier for them to spot mods just after they are first used, which then would lead to them patching them so quickly.


Wow that was a rant and could be completely impossible, but given that we're willingly connecting to Treyarch servers, I bet there is a Terms Of Service clause stating they have the right to do system checks or autopilot scans of certain user class names if they desire in this case, in which they could easily flag and clusterfukk lol

microsoft have also banned users from putting 'thetechgame.com' in mottos and bio's but you can just put 'www.thetechgame.com' and it will allow it ;)
