It's cool what you are trying to do. But in all honesty it will never happen. The world runs on money and if you think about the amount of money they make from it they will never turn it down. The price isnt really stopping people from playing live. The only way i see the prices going down were if people stopped paying and playing live, which will never happen.

We don't deserve for it to be free. I don't understand why everything thinks it should be free. PS3 is the only system that does offer free online capabilities. I don't know how they manage to do it, but they do. Think about PC gaming for a second. Sure the actual action of playing games online is free (after the purchase of the game), you have to take in consideration the fact that you are currently paying for the internet you're using to connect to the servers.

TLDR - XBL is great how it is. I will continue paying for it until I stop gaming.

EDIT: Also, food for thought, a safe bet for a payment per month of high speed cable internet is $45 per month. For nearly the same price you pay to play a PC game online, you can buy a year's worth of XBL.
