Can't forget running Linux on it and using it as an actual computer.
But back to the original question, any of them are fine for System Link, although I would recommend NOT getting a Xenon. I know from personal experience that they can be a massive hassle (prone to RRoD etc.)

Well any Jtagged Console will work for System Link. But if your looking for the "Best" Jtag Motherboard that would be a Jasper, They almost NEVER RRoD but they are almost impossible to find. The next would be a Falcon, these are pretty rarely ever RRoD and they are fairly-common and easy to find. The cheapest Jtag and overall most common is a Xenon Motherboard, There pretty easy to get but they RRoD more then any other console. Personally I have a Zephyr Jtag and I love it because it hasn't ever RRoDed on me YET and it's HDMI .
Overall I think you should get a Falcon Jtag because they are the second "best" Jtag you can get. Hope I helped

Jasper or Falcon is the best to not get overheated but also cost a little more. Xenon are good for starters
