Hey Guys,

Alot of people have been contacting me saying they can't get the menu to work. Or i get the occasional "your menu is broken you idiot".

Also people are saying. My JTAG is broken i just get a black screen all the time. Look at this post to get all the info on installing a title update and if you do this correctly it should fix your problems.

Well let me give you some info on the menu and what you need to do. In order to run our menu and not have it error you need to have the TU2 installed properly on your JTAG. No you do not just put the the TU2 files in with the rest of your black ops files.


How you know the TU has not been installed properly

You will get error codes such as the content you are trying to load can not be found as its form an incorrect region etc.

Another one is when you try to play the XeX for the menu you get a black Screen and it stays black.
What you need:

-Files of the TU your putting on (1 TU file, 2 XeXp files, 5 fastfiles)

Here is a text TuT.

So 1st off you need the TU3 or files from what ever TU your putting on just cruise the forums and look for these files.


Okay lets get started!

1) Put your TU2 files ( tu_000000030000, and all fast files in the folder), the start.cfg and jtagvision.xex on the root of your USB.

2)Take your USB & plug into your JTAG, Go to XeX menu.

3)Copy your TU_00000030000 file from your USB and go to HDD>Contents on your XeX menu.

4) In contents look for a folder E00000CA5...etc click that folder and inside that folder look for a folder called 41560855.

5) Open 41650855 and you will see another folder called 000001 open that folder and you should see a save_game file paste your TU_000300000 file in there.

6) Go Back to your USB in XeX menu, Open the TU2 System link folder. You will see a bunch of . ff (fastfile) files, Copy each .ff 1 by 1 from your USB and put them in your Black Ops files. ( HDD1>games>Black Ops)

7) Copy and paste all 5 fastfiles & 2 XeX's 1 by 1 in to your Black Ops files on your JTAG go back to your USB


12) Congragulations you have succesfully installed the TU on your JTAG and are running it beautifully.

Ok i have installed my TU3 now what.

Ok so now that you have the TU 3 on your JTAG and all is good, you need to take the modified Patch_mp.ff which you can download from this post & the XeX from the gold section.

You then put the Patch & XeX on the root of your USB. Unplug your USB from your computer, start up your JTAG and plug in your USB stick.

Once your JTAG is booted and your USB is plugged in go to your XeX menu. Press RB until you get to your USB stick. Go to the Patch_mp.ff and highlight it, hit Y > Copy, then hit X > HDD1 go to your game folder and find Black Ops, go in to your Black Ops folder (all game files will be in here) Hit Y > Paste a message will come up saying would you like to overwrite this crap? Click ok.

After you have done that with your Patch do the Same with your Default_mp.xex. After you have your TU3, modified patch & modified XeX on your JTAG your good to go.

After all the files you need are installed correctly on your JTAG go to your Black Ops directory (hdd1>games folder>Black Ops) now scroll down untill you see Default_mp.xex hit A on it and it should load your game. If it does not load or you get a black Screen then you have most likely installed your TU wrong so go back and try again.

If your XeX boots go into Local>system link a message will pop up saying some crap just hit A and hit system link again. It should put you at the System link menu, Create a game and start it on your JTAG.

Now get on your Retail console and go to Local>System Link, when you are at the system link menu hit Find game, then join your JTAGS game.

If your JTAG game doe snot show up make sure you have both console connected to each other VIA wirless adapters or Ethernet cords.

Once you are in your game, you need to kill yourself by shooting a car or holding a frag. When you die your body should float up, that's how you know your infected (with the patch i provide in this post). After you have infected yourself leave the game and go to player match.

Inv your friends and start up domination or SnD in an online Ranked match, it has to be in an online ranked match can not be in a private macth.

Once in the game make sure you are host! So the mods work, if you do not get host the mods will not work so back out and try again.

Once you have host and the mods are working then you are good to go. The host of the game can get as many kills is they want (so you) and the Xp will stick for them.

If you are not the host and you want the Xp to stick you can only get one kill and then back out if you want the Xp to stick. So if you get 2 kills it will not stick.

When you back out you will level up very slow and this takes along time so be patient. Once you have left the game get the host to invite you back get one more kill and back out again. Repeat this untill you are at your desired prestige and/or rank.

You also get cod points from this mod so you can buy everything from the game after a while of lobby time

Like i said this takes a VERY long time, i have worked it out after hosting.

It takes 23 kills per prestige so that means you need to get 1 kill and back out 23 times before you get a level 50.

Yes, the ban rate is crazy, it was not at first before th method was released it now is. If you still insist on doing this mod i reckon you go no higher than 5th prestige or 2 or 3 prestiges higher then your set prestige. There is still a large chance of ban from even doing that.

So do this quick before it gets patched & enjoy, i hope this clears some things up for everyone.
