If you have any general concept of soldering you should be fine. But..if you are really concerned about it...go on eBay and search for xbox 360 motherboards. You can buy one on there for $7-10? Get it shipped to ya and then solder to your little hearts content. Then, once you think you are ready...you will either solder correctly or ya won't. It isn't as challenging as what people make it out to be, just take your time and you should be alright.

I'm guessing he means a RROD one, so yeah they will be cheap because they don't work.
I would also recommend a low wattage soldering iron and don't hold it on the board for too long! I've seen so many people burn solderpads and over heat their boards because they use the wrong equipment or they just are too rough with the xbox.
You could also have a practise at soldering on any broken electrical appliance.
It's not difficult when you know how.

Let me make this 100 times easier on you...

Go find a broken electronic, alarm clock,radio,etc...

Something with a PCB/printed circuit board...

Take your solder iron and practice removing wires and adding wires to solder points on that PCB...

Just keep playing around on it until you start getting clean solder points when you attach a wire...

Once you feel comfortable, move on to the 360..It's really not hard, especially seeing how you only have to solder 10 wires or so..

Just be sure to follow video guides or w/e you gotta do to make sure you're placing the wires/diodes in the right places...

Programming part is easy, use Jtag Tool...

Well this is what I did. I soldered one thing before in my life before I tried this. I bought a working Jtaggable Falcon from ebay and Nand-X (simple to use kit). I practiced with the actual kit and the Falcon and voala.... I had a Jtag. Its not hard at all with a Falcon that kit and the alternate points.

do what i done (only if u have spare cash) go to your nearest pawn brokers and buy the console only for around $35-$60 USD $65-$80 AUS and go for it the way i see the more consoles i have the more confidence you get i own 11 consoles now but only 9 work 2 are jtag fails btw go with NAND-X by team-xecuter very easy/simple jtag/nand hack whatever you want to call it
