xxtrickyxx wroteTTG_Noscopes wrote sounds pretty nasty, try AVG Free version, also try bringing up task manager look in proccessess, right click on the one you think his the virus, and click end process, if it starts back up stright after it is a virus, remeber the name and boot the comp in SAFE mode, search the the file name EE.g Example.exe and delete it in safe mode, but don't touch nout else. hope this helps, i use AVG free and it's mint, it secures all threats in a vault and then asks you if you want to delete.
thats another idea but go by the professionals
haha ok

This sounds like the yearly virus i get, it claims to be a virus scanner but when you click for results it floods viruses onto your computer.
Google: "Malwarebytes Anti Malware"
it is garrenteed to get rid of anything you have when updated. Just download from [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
when downloaded just click full scan ( it is completely free ) and when it is done (about 2 hours for my computer) i garrentee it will find you problem.
It will ask to restart your computer to remove remaining viruses, just hit ok and your good

Does it just find the problems or actually get rid of them?

it will first find and tell you what you have, and then you can select to delete them all while restarting your computer, i have used this for 2 years already and it is still my only virus protection today
