So for anyone who cares to try and help, i have a zephyr jtag. I installed the boxxdr Aud_Clamp jtag wiring to it, updated from 6xxx to 7371 official, then jtagged the console then updated to 8955 > 9199 > 12611 > then installed official M$ 12611 update and the jtag works great BUT i have black ops on my external (like every other game i have) and i finally decided to start trying some of these mods people are discovering and when i try peoples mod menu's and all, i will download theyr patch_mp.ff or .cfg file and their .xex file needed for it and when i go to run their xex the jtag powers off. I DO have other xex's in there, i have that new XP infection mod with the modded default_mp.xex and patch etc all in the BO folder so maybe that is messing with this and causeing the jtag to power off? Anyways, if anyone needs anymore info just let me know, and if anyone knows why it does this please let me know. thanks.
Also i am using TU3. io believe its in the right spot cause i can system link with my retail and jtag so i dont think thats the problem

It could be missing the new AP2.5 M$ added recently. Have you copied the original game to your HDD or a burnt game? secondly, have you updated to the most recent dash? Third, are you using a transfer cable to add the modded files to your HDD or are you using a USB to add them while your HDD is still inserted?

it powers off due to a fatal error, in order to fix this you need the update that the patch was made for ex. TU1,2, or 3.

iv tried Tu 1 2 and 3 with no luck. it works fine with any other game, and even with some mods for BO but is just simply a couple mod menu's that for some reason shut down my jtag

hmmm, I know for a fact that this has to do with the updates, it used to happen to me and only with black ops. have you tried using a patched xex instead of putting the title update on you hdd?

Well BO is on my external HDD but i am putting the patches on my M$ HDD, could that be the problem? and yes i have tried with stock default.xex and default_mp.xex and have tried with the modded ones that come with the mod menu and also have put the TU that comes with the mod menu and have tried others. Each time deleting the old one not to mix files and error out. Only thing i can think of then is that maybe its cause im running the game from my external and the TU from the M$ HDD?
