Na, all you need is a ISO of MW2 or download it to your hard drive. If you already know how to to create the files and put stuff into them folders and files. Then you should be set and ready to host your lobbies.

so basically if someone already has all the modded files, i can get sent them put onto the jtagged memory unit (hard drive) and im ready to go?

That's the patch file. Yes. But you need to find yourself a ISO (Torrent) of MW2 or I think you can just download it to your harddrive and you should be able to just host modded lobbies.
1. Get a mw2 download
2. get a patch file (xp, challenges, etc etc..)
3. run mw2 off of .xex
4. host your modded lobbies and charge $25 for 17 people and make $425 for 20 minutes for each lobby and you should have about $2k-$5k in about 4 hrs.

ah right so the main thing ideally is the torent, then possibly i could leach the mods off someone and add them into the file and host of it?

Actually you might wanna try just downloading the disc to see if that works, if not then try to get the ISO (Which could take a long time depending on your internet) and I recommend looking around different sites but look here first that way you come back and say, "SOB, shouldve came here first". Go ahead and ask Mods if you want, pretty sure they would be more then likely to help. My guess is if you wanna look for a patch file is Se7ensins.com, not trying to advertise or anything but they seem to have a lot of people putting out there own patch files for other people to use. Here it just seems to be like people are asking for help with patch files and other stuff such as getting other things to work. So, just go over that again it's:
1. Find a ISO or download MW2 to your jtag
2. Find a patch file.
3. Figure out how to run the files so that way when you just go out and host a lobby your not confused on what to do.
4. Host your lobby and you should be on your way to trying to buy more KV's and hosting more lobbies.

im a gold member, there is patch files for all the mods on that forum?
