Ok, so tomorrow I don't wanna have to spend 1200 MSP for the map packs if i dont have to. Instead can my friend buy the DLC then i recover his gamertag on my xbox re-download the DLC and save to my hard drive and then go back on my account and have it?? I did this for mw2 and it worked but i dont remember how to do it exactly. would this work and if not how???

if you buy the dlc on YOUR console with his account first then it will work. so you have to download it before he does

okay if you want the dlc and your friend is willing to let you use his account here is the way to do this.
1 make sure he dose not buy the dlc.
2recover gamertag
3buy the dlc on your xbox so the code is saved on your xbox not his
4 then get him to recover the gamertag
5 your done both of you have it simple i do this all the time.

ok, so even if I get on his account but on my xbox then i download it and then he recovers his account, he will have the DLC right?I just wanna make sure so he gets it as well, otherwise he might be a little pissed

You need to license transfer then you recover the account.

no you dont because there are 2 licenses one profile one xbox

Xbox on make its so all profiles can use and the profile one just makes it so the profile can only play.

Its Called Game Sharing I did this on mw2 and cod4.It really saves you some money!
