Take the disc out and unplug everything then leave it like that for a few hours.

all you need to do, it stick somethingi n the back to block the fans, leave the jtag on until it
1. turns on
2. gets 2 rrod.
than you unplug everything for about 5-10 minutes.
and it should be good.
if not, do it again!

That is the stupidest recommendation possible...DO NOT do that. This is stupid on so many levels I cannot even list them all but let me give you a short run down:
You console BGA chips are soldered down with Non-leaded solder which has a melting point of 217 Degreed Celcius, guess what temperature your xbox will get at if you over heat it....Yep NO WHERE NEAR the melting point which is what this method was thought to do..which is "reflow" the solder.
Overheating the chip by electricity will not only risk killing the chipset itself, but if you kill the CPU, go ahead and throw it out in the yard and use it for a lawn gnome because you officially ruined it.
This is just dumb all around, I mean I cannot tell you enough of how stupid this is....
Get your console PROPERLY reflowed or reballed by someone who has the proper equipment and know how and don't listen to these absolutely idiotic suggestions which will not only take the chance of ruining your console, but will also ruin chances of it being able to be repaired.
Go find me a single sticky thread on a website where they offer repair services by intentionally overheating consoles...and I'll show you the stupid group of people on the interenet...

well i dont know if its the stupidest recommendation but it is defiantly stupid...dont not try this at all, ur just gona end up fn up the jtag even worse....do what icy tanks said and git it fixed by a trusted seller or u can try and xclamp it and thermal paste it urself but i wouldnt recommend that either.

Yep Yep, I love the youtube tricks on repairs....
The only time it's semi ok to do this, is when you have a stack of red ring's which are possibly exploitable...To save some time from dumping all the nands or having to repair them all before hand, overheat it and it'll usually let you boot to check the dashboard and that's about it..
BGA Rework is the only way on Red Ring errors on consoles....Stop listening to 12 year olds thinking they're smart...

icy-tank is correct, sticking something in your fans to make the xbox overheat would be a stupid thing to do, and even if you did manage to overheat it enough for it to boot again, it would not last long. Reflowing or Reballing is ure best option, if ure in the usa i believe icy-tank has a infared rework station. you should send it to him for repair or someone who has the proper equipment.
