So i was using the black hole device when i was in a lander in the air like in the middle of going to the starting point. i only had 1 and i threw it and i heard the girl laughing. all of my teammates were also on the lander and the black hole device lasted a little bit longer. tell me if it works for u

This happens anywhere, Just throw one out side of the map and "Samantha" starts to laugh.

I also found this out by accident, I threw the black whole over the edge next to the sickle.

Anywhere outside of the map will work.
