My friend just bought a brand new 4th gen ipod and he doesnt know whether or not to jailbreak it, ive jailbroken my 2g one but he thinks its gunna completely fk his iPod so if anyone has jailbroken theirs or know for sure that the dont get messed up can u post pls? Also what software used? I used greenpois0n but that wa a few months ago.

I have the exact same model.

Running on 4.2.1 firmware, I Jailbroke it with GreenPois0n.

This is a Untethered Jailbreak and is very average.

I have a 4th gen ipod touch (with the camera) on 4.2.1 and i jailbroke it yesterday with greenpois0n. Works great as far as i can see, no compatibility problems with cydia yet. Give it a go, and if it doesn't work or you don't like it you can always restore it.

Actually there are loads of compatibility problems with Cydia.

I have just managed to install most of the stuff that I was using with the Redsn0w 4.2.1 tethered Jailbreak.

Hopefully an update we come out, but until then I am going to be using the Redsn0w Jailbreak.
