Hello, I need help with DVD Burning. If I can get this to work, I could mod zombies. I'm not so good with computers; so please bare with me. I need to burn DVD+R DL discs, but I need to know if I can upgrade to a better DVD Burner. I currently have a CD-RW Drive, but I don't think that can burn DVD+R DL discs. I was wondering if I could upgrade my DVD Burner to this - HP - 24x Internal Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive. My system has these kind of statistics -

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 3

Intel(R)
Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz
2.79 GHz 504 MB of Ram

Thanks! If my CD-RW Drive can burn them, please tell me. I'd rather not waste $50. Again, if this sounds stupid, I'm not that good with computers. Thanks! - Cole -

Sorry, but you'd have to buy a new burner or upgrade your old CD-RW burner :\

And just as a side note (you might already know this ): when burning bootleg 360 games, it is recommended to use a low speed even though the disc and the driver can handle higher speeds. A speed of 2.4X is always the best in the my opinion.

Oh and whenever you get yourself the burner and decide burning games, I recommend you use Verbatim brand discs. They are the highest quality of discs in my opinion and practically never fail.
You could save yourself some cash and buy Memorex but then you'd have a bunch of coasters around your house

Thanks for the help. Can my computer handle a new Double Layer burner? or does it not use any specs? Thanks. - Cole -

EDIT: When I burn the disc with ISOs, and mod it all up, etc. I need to hotswap. Can you hotswap without a flashed X-Box? I know how to hotswap, but I just wanted to know if I could do it without a flashed X-Box. Thanks!
