Like i said on the title my ps3 has the mighty Red light of death and my question is is it possible to fix it myself like the same way you fix a xbox that has the RROD or do i have to ship it to Sony for $150 as of right now i havnt open the console so i didnt void the warranty of getting it fix by Sony.

this happened to me heres what you do you need a blow dryer a cardboard box and fan.
1st blow in the back vents of the ps3 with the blow dryer for 15 mins and make sure will doing this its in the box and its hot air
2nd after this let it cool in front of a fan for a good 20-30 mins then check to make sure its not hot any more than plug it back in it should be good for a couple of months and you might have to redo it
by doing this i got mine to last 4 months longer till i bought a xbox

Alright im going to try this when i get a chance hopefully it works and doesnt damage it even more to the point it doesnt turn on.
