heres what you do
you use your 25 digit code on an account that you dont really use but buy what you need to buy (whatever you was spending msp on)
then ring microsoft and tell them the keycode seems to be invalid
they will check the code you tell them and the receipt number from the store you bought from.
then they will check your account + recent download history. then your msp amount on your account.
after telling you they have checked it and verified the problem they will issue you by e-mail another code to replace the "invalid" one. and/or a free item to say sorry for the inconvienience.

this works with all msp and xbl which you can do for friends. 24 months for 2 acc's for the price of 12 months.

this is not my find. it is an old trick which people should know about!
