Even though it may seem lame it is fair. That could also be counted as disorderly conduct or disturbing the peace. If it was in a private house I don't think they can do much, as long as neither of you pressed charges against one another but out in the open it's the city's jurisdiction.

Dude if your going to set up a fight

Make sure only a few people here....
Make sure if some where people can see or hear much
and always have someone step in is the match gets out of hand

and just punch each other till someone get knocked out or someone gives up.
