Well not exactly because if you think about it the average user would not find the glitch and even if they did it wouldnt really spread but when it is posted on here it can become a problem

Because you're knowingly and willingly exploiting it. Again nobody is really saying that you're going to get banned, just that your score will be voided.

Also, I don't think you know how glitches work. Glitches aren't made. They're part of coding errors. By definition they are not made on purpose.

You still always have a slight chance of getting banned by doing glitches! Just seems they are not really worried about this glitch as much as others, like glitches being done in online matches!
