the dev kit theory isnt a THEORY lol it CAN be done an the whole jtag's going online again?!?!?! NOONE knows for sure if they can or cant get around the server side checks. We still dont know how Eaton an XBOXMB gets online so whos to say that they have figured out a way to get jtags back online (although i highly doubt that they used the jtaged method seeing as a lot of ppl said "THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX" when answering questions about how they got back online). So that leads me to believe that they ARE using the Dev kit/ flashed xbox method which would also clear up the whole UNBANABLE jtag lol because thats the rumor going around now an if they are using the dev kit/ flashed box method then like Reckless_am said "the only way they could patch this method is to patch flashed drives or make the same game but a newer version(meaning that it wouldnt be readable by your flashed drive). So thats my thoughts on all this so either you all can take this post for what its worth or just keep saying a whole bunch of dumb stuff that you dont know about (like saying stuff about unsigned code when you clearly dont know ANYTHING about anythin because thats all you can repeat!)

A new freeboot won't do much...

I'm sure they will code a new freeboot for another dash update, I don't think they would make a new one for just a few tweeks like this update was. I think theres another update comming in the spring (thats what was posted on wiki), They'll make a new one then i guess.
And for all of you moaning about how making a new one won't get you online, your correct, but a new freeboot is needed to play the newest games as well.
Not everyones desperate to get online.

If you want a JTAG you need to do your Reasearch Before hand.

And there is no Released way to get online with one.

You know nothing.
What he's saying is that you cannot try to connect to xbox live without an updated Rebooter. If you did find a way to bypass the many checks then you would be met by and update screen. If you didn't update you couldn't get on Live, if you did then you would brick your jtag.
