People who say they are on a flashed xbox because their dev kit can magically sign code, are wrong.

Building a new rebooter isn't just about who can program and what not. You need to know how exactly the xbox executes when it is turned on. For example, this is quoted from XboxHacker (a website)


Look: First you need the hypervisor exploit in the CB. Afterwards when you have full control over the hypervisor you softreboot (with a correct rebooter like xbr or freeboot) which allows you to run unsigned code.

Alternatively you can run XeLL which stands for Xenon Linux Loader, so intended to load Linux (Gentoo for powerPC).
Xell is build to load directly after the hypervisor exploit, which is why it boot much quicker than freeboot/xbr (it doesn't need to reboot).

If you build a rebooter you need to remap all protocols, addresses, ... to the 12611 FS. I believe you need some kind of emulation of all the boot layers, hell you even need to create virtual fuses else your ldv values won't even match.

Maybe something like a second nand could help, but that would be more a step backwards as forward...


It will take alot of work to develop a new rebooter. Maybe someone wil figure it out and release.

I don't know if this is right but as long as M$ dosent add more checks with the dash coming in spring insteed of sitting listening to kids try to come up with ways to get on let's let the experts make a rebooter and fix the checks I'm not saying I helped at all but we should insteed of yelling at each other work to make a rebooter and then block checks and we keep doing that

Well you can go ahead and try to get JTAGs online as much as you want, but what you need to know is that XBE and Eaton are not using JTAGs as they cannot go online.

Unless someone releases a new reb00ter or we get a new freeb00t for the even newer dash update coming relatively soon, these threads are not needed.
