Honestly, COD has continued to serve the general population, and has killed itself.... COD has been at a downslope for competitive gamers since COD4.

WaW =
-MP40 round drum steady aim, = less tactical awareness as you simply just hipfire and dont even need to bother caring about a reload.
-Bouncing betties = Lowering visibility on a proxy while making it a 360 degree trip... = less tactical placements = user friendly.

MW2 =
- Shotguns as secondaries, completely screwing up the skillbase of CBQ for MW2.
- Snipers with SoH 0.2 ADS making them a cakewalk to use.
- Advanced killstreaks, making camping more prevelant AND ensuring with the use of a care package that you can use an AC-130 with a 3 killstreak. WHY? simple... to take away the skill curve and make it easier for noob players to keep up with the skilled.
- OMA with explosives and danger close = Spamming explosives all over the map to get more kills you didn't deserve.

Black Ops =
- LAG COMPENSATION = this ammounts to the fact that in MW2 the noobs still couldnt keep up with the skilled by in theory introducing all the user friendly items. SO black ops decided to make a non-user based technique to put all players on an EVEN playing field, REGUARDLESS of skill... by making everyone have a higher ping. if the good players can do really good because they lag less... how is that fair to the casual players who make up MOST of the players online... why not just make EVERYONE lag so that every kill is luck through lag.

I have to admit, I've never been killed by such sloppy players as I have in black ops. Why? its not because they shoot first, or have better aim... its because the ping fluxuates horribly and sometimes THE GAME decides that I win the gun fight or the other player does. EVEN if I have perfect accuracy, the game may decide that my shots will not register, and allow only the other players shots to register.. leaving me dead.

You wanna talk about the WORST thing you could have done for an online FPS?
Take a look at black ops.

With a system that was made as POORLY as this for skill...
I have a feeling it wont be very long until a BETTER FPS is introduced.
An FPS needs the competitive fanbase to hold weight for the game so that it can recieve recognition so all the noobs can follow suit and practice to become skilled.... Black ops has VERY LITTLE fanbase for competition because of its basically random generated winners of gunfights.... Basically Black ops has KILLED the COD franchise.


IW has screwed most of us over with MW2... and a lot of people wont buy another IW game... as I wont either.
Now Treyarch has screwed the rest of us over with Black ops, and most people wont want another Treyarch game.

So... hate to say it. but there goes the COD franchise as both Developers proved that they are not worthy to continue the COD franchise.
