So I have LED's that share power with my Dvd Drive, and im looking into getting the talismoon whisper legacy but it also sharess power with the Dvd drive to make it a 12v fan mod.
But i dont want to take so much power from the dvd drive so how are other ways i can do this without getting ride of my LEDs and still get a 12v fan mod?

Really only cables you can splice... I think you'll be fine though, drive should run okay still.

Ok, let me explain this this will help you a lot. I wish everyone else was this smart. The DVD drive gets its power from the Power Brick. Same as anything else on the motherboard. It doesn't matter where you take the power from. In theory all the power comes from place. This will not effect your DVD drive's power. you can plug anything you want into it as long as you dont pull more than 16.5 amps, because this all the power brick can handle. you pull more than that and your xbox 360 power brick will shut its self down. BUT IT WILL NOT CAUSE HARM. It is a protection feature. I hoped this helped if not i will make a youtube video if u want. please reply to this so i know if it helped you.

Don't listen to that mumbo jumbo talk...Take it from experience, it's okay to run a few things from the drive but if you run too much, it won't cause the power brick to shut down, it'll just fry your connections at the dvd drive thus causing you to be SOL..

Which led boards are you using? Cut the wires and solder them to the underside of the mobo by the psu and hook the fan up...

I've seen many consoles with fried connections around the drive around and blown components due to drawing too much from that area..
