everytime i try do it while im in party chat with my friend it wont work. but private chat does work

I dont know what it is with being in a private chat but it seems like when you are it works.

I've done it in partys plenty of times.

let me try it out

There is an easier way,
You and your friend party up
Then you click whatever is above or below cage match i think it is team deathmath express.
Then once your waiting in team deathmath (YOU) backout
and your friend will still be in game.
(Preferably you want to be in a party chat)
Then when hes waiting in the team deathmath lobby and ur sitting in party lobby you say 1 .... 2.... 3.... NOW
Soon as you say around 2 and a half then you click cage match and when your friend backs out he should backout right into your cagematch.
