If you only want to host lobbies, then no.
But there's a lot more you can do with them, such as play games without the disks, offline modding on lots of different games, emulators and more 3333ch

Might as well buy them now for cheap. Pretty sure prices will go up once they figure out how to get Black Ops working.

Theive always been worth it, u can still host online just modify your xbix even more so MS dnt notice
AND their also made to play modded games , emulators, homebrews and much more

Yes because you can still host XP lobbies, System Link [Get money] FreeStyle dash, and many games for free.
