Hello Everyone!
Looking into building my own gaming PC for around $1,000.
Already have a monitor and speakers:

If you're going to spend under 1000 Your choice is to buy an amd proccesor and board. If you want I can select all the parts that you would need off of newegg.com and send the wishlist to you so you can select what parts you want

On your build:
For $150 you can get a better, more current board with the 890FX chipset. (Biostar TA890FXE) [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Triple channel RAM is not compatible with any AMD motherboard. It only works on Intel socket 1366 boards. I suggest Kingston HyperX Blu. They work well out of the box but overclock to tighter timings even at 1600 MHz. For the price I'd go with 2 sets. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Instead of the Antec 900, which has terrible cable management and a non-black inside, I'd go with a Cooler Master 690 II Advanced. It has room for lots of fans and looks great. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
For the HDD, get a Samsung Spinpoint F3 1 TB. Cheaper, reliable, and fast.
For the SSD, wait for the OCZ vertex 3 series. They are twice as fast as the current standard.
The grapics card is dated and the 1 GB of VRAM is a gimmick. What is important is shader count, core clock, etc. I suggest a 6950 unlocked to a 6970 with a BIOS flash.
The company that makes that PSU is out of business, so there is no warranty, RMA service or support. 1000 watts is WAY overkill for that system. Go with a Corsair, XFX, Seasonic, or Silverstone unit.
There's no OS.
Get a Cooler Master Hyper 212+. It is much better than anything in that price range.
Good CPU choice, but go for a hexacore for that budget.
