I tried this and I got a KAR98k so I either im just unlucky or that glitch doesnt work. Maybe when everyone else was getting good guns they were just getting lucky. So I dont think this glitch works everytime.

This has been around since the first map, but you have it arse ways. It has to be gold when its open for it to work.

ive just tried it and i didnt get BAD weapons but not amazing i got a trench gun ppsh flamethrower stg so suppose but not consistant im affraid. unless im doing it wrong

Yea you have to get your timing right.
As soon as the box goes gold open it. You have to be very sharp tho
