why didnt you take the disc to game and let them buff the disc? All they do is take a layer on your disc for a few quid. The disc works fine and improves your re-sale value.

Yeah, I download my best games onto my hardrive, and all you need is it to read the name but if it's really bad and can't read the name, borrow a friends copy of the game, save it to your hard drive, get your copy of the game, use the toothpaste method or buy some solution for like 5-10bucks to clean the disk. There is a local video store that cleans disks for 3 bucks were I live so that's what I do.
