Ok well he just got done putting 300 songs on his ipod touch and he asked for me to jailbreak it

so i clicked on the sticky for jailbreaking the 4.2.1 iOS
i got to the part where you hold the sleep button for 3 seconds, then the sleep and home button for 10 seconds
then my brothers ipod shut off and wont turn on and has to do the software update

what did i do wrong?

ok well i took it back to walmart and got a new one

i did the same thing and it shut off again and its stuck at the jailbreaking screen.

how long does this normally take?
its been about 5 minutes now

just hold the home and sleep button for like 15 seconds whenever it doesnt turn on ...
