I decided to repost this as it's own to see if I could have more people help disprove this. I apologize for having also posted in the Node Sticky thread but there seems like a lot of work left and I could use a hand.
At last. I have been keeping up with these node theory posts since Ascension came out and I have finally decided to join the madness. It seems any theory can be overturned or has been disproven. I hope that I can find some good people to play zombies with because the three others that I play with can only all play on Sundays. It's hard to find a good group, sheeeeesh.
Anyway, I know there's going to be someone that just jumps in and says the nodes are over or that the nodes end at the death machines until the maps come out for PS3. Oh well. I've been meaning to try these scenarios but will probrably do them with my team on Sunday unless I can find a good group by then. I'm really lazy on looking for people to play. Here we go.
I believe a lot of people have been saying that the developers hinted that the monkeys will play a big role in Ascension. I love monkeys. They are my homies. I usually save one at the end of every round and have him follow me around so my team can reperk or hit the box. They are extremely friendly and easy to drag around. They won't go after a machine afterwards either because we tried to take them to Stamin Up to destroy it so we could have the four "cool" perks, but they just want to follow you and jump around. I always forget but i'll try to remember next time but I think you get the same amount of monkeys every round. (Keep count if you can). I think it was like 13 or 12 when I counted. The Stadium lights both have 13 lights that are on as well (probrably pointless, possibly wrong).
Anyways, I think when the monkey rounds begin, a voice says something about security "systems now activated" and it gets all reddish or whatever. I've done the death machines maybe 3 or 4 times but I think when you throw the gersh, shoot the weapons, and the little orb flies up, the same voice says "security systems are now offline". Aren't they offline anyways. Perhaps making them offline when they are online makes more sense.
I have not once seen a post where someone has tried to do the gersh and weapon step during a monkeys round. I have been keeping up pretty much everyday and Big Thanks to everyone who put the hours in to find the nodes and disprove a lot of theories. It has saved me a lot of grief. Anyways, it may be a big stretch, but save a monkey, far away by the pack a punch or something, and then start the gersh step and perhaps "security systems offline" while they are "online" will allow you to by a door somewhere (there are a few that look buyable like the one by pack a punch random box spawn). Or maybe taking the lander from speed cola will now allow you to go somewhere. I'm just saying try to find out stuff during a monkeys round with the death machines or maybe you won't even get death machines. If all has been disproven during monkeys round during gersh step, at least try to start the next round fast and unleash on some zombies.
I doubt i'll have time to look for every thing during monkeys on Sunday, but if it all gets disproven, I think trying all the steps during monkey rounds is a possibility, like throw the gersh, hit the computer, the buttons, then activate the nuke...wait for the next monkeys round, spell Luna, then throw the gersh. It's a lot of different possibilities with these monkeys still. It is real easy to run a monkey around. I apologize if all this stuff has been disproven but I have tried to read every post possible to be sure I'm not being repetitive.
My best round is 45 with three people but I had a lot of fun with going to round 39, two people, 28 revives, 1 down, no lander glitch. I hope these forums will be fun and informative and also... my grandmother works for Treyarch, HA!
