i took off my x-clamps and did the replacement mod but when i let it overheat for 20 minutes then let it cool down nothing happens its still e74 error help!!!!

unplug your hdd than reinsert it after a 30 min wait time. if it doesnt work than you're most likely schitt outta luck. sorry

Did you replace clean off the cpu/gpu and apply new thermal paste?

Well no because you took of the x-clamp so your initial problem must have been overheating right? Clean the processors, make sure the heatsink is securely fastened or else t wont work. At worst you might have to re-attach x-clamp with new washers or your HDD might be knackered - try it on another console.

also, make sure you use artic silver or better because i had e74 and tried some cheap paste i bought on ebay, and it didnt work. if that dont work u may need to get it reballed.
