i was just wondering if my friend gets the mw2 map pack can i take it out of his hard drive and then put it on mine so i get it for free?

He would have to buy it on your hard drive on your xbox. Then recover back his account on his xbox then go to recent downloads and re download it.

ohhhhh sweet will it work the other way round like he downloads it on his hard drive then i recover his gamertag then re download it

sorry to hijack the thread but i was wondering the same thing. if my brother recovers his gt on my hdd and dls it and then recovers it on his hdd and dls it and i dont delete his account will my other profiles be able to share the dlc

Sorry to break it to you guys but im pretty suure this won't work.
I say this because my bro and I tried to share arcade games and we didn't want to spend extra microsoft points on the same game, but still wanted to play each other.
The game doesn't actually gets linked to ur gamertag, it gets linked to ur console, and to transfer it, u do a license transfer on xbox.com...only problem is u can only do a license transfer once a year.

i dont know with that one i think you got to just transfer it from one hard drive to another because they dont save on profiles
