Wow this isn't strict at school, don't mean to brag or anything but I go to the top school in England, we've got top GCSE results in the country in 2008 and 2010.
It's very strict. :p

I had to wear a uniform when I was in school about 4 years ago and to be honest it wasn't bad. Uniforms are not a bad thing you just have to look at the positives. Such as you wont have peopel fighting over whos got the better or more expesive clothing and wearing a uniform helps you prepare for a workplace. There are many positives to this type of thing but Im too lazy to explain...just except that its happened and realize its for the good to all wear the same uniform
