Ill be the first to say this sounds like the most legit theory and i like the fact that there is a vid to show the buttons you are talking about.. Good post although based on the coding, i doubt anything will come from it.. +rep for thinking about an idea, capturing pictures of what you mean, and not just posting a thought that popped in your head.

update* just for clarification, im not saying this is another node because the nodes are done. im saying at most it is possible to be a separate easter egg of some sort

Yeah I agree this post actually seems reasonable. Especially after the particularly stupid post I read before this.
