Hey,
I was wondering if this Macbook pro:

Will be able to run games well.
I don't really know a lot about Macs a whole lot, I'm a PC guy at heart. I'm also kind of worried as it is a Dual core machine, is this affected the same as a dual core PC is.
-Thanks

It will run older/2 year old games on medium/high.

Macs are not meant for gaming.

If your going for gaming, the smartest choice is PC.

If you just run a virtual machine, you will be able to run mac and windows at the same time, unlike a regular windows computer.

It's still not as good as a built PC computer.

If you want a laptop for gaming go with the MSI GT680R that is being released soon.

But the thing is I'm pretty much going to be playing older games like CoD 4 and some Counterstrike Source.
