Could we get a small taste of what Rockstar has planned for the fifth installment of the Grand Theft Auto franchise later this month? Several websites are starting to connect the dots surrounding the game including some prospective NPCs, locations and in game events.

Sometimes it is hard to tell fact from fiction when it comes to unreleased games. Everything in this article should be taken with a grain of salt.

IGN reported yesterday about a casting call that Rockstar put out for a project codenamed Rush. The casting call is looking for weed enthusiasts, neurotic soccer moms and America car dealers. These are exactly the type of characters we would expect to see when playing a GTA title. Previous rumors claimed that the game would be set in Los Santos, the GTA version of Los Angeles.Over at JustPressStart they started connecting the dots a little early. Theyve noticed that in the manual for 2009s Episodes from Liberty City the text Next Stop appears alongside the word Seagull. They also noticed that the pigeons that can eliminate for an achievement were replaced with seagulls in the downloadable episodes.

None of this is conclusive evidence but it is interesting to follow nonetheless. The GTA series has always had a spot in the media spotlight and is a franchise that lends itself to rumors. Does anyone remember the hunts for Sasquatch that occurred during the release of GTA: San Andreas?
