The cause is by you laying/crouching there, (there being where the rails normally would go up) the railings need to compensate for the fact that the normal path is blocked so they slowly (and somewhat randomly) bend in order to adapt. The only thing i can think of that would slow this process is not doing it on the same corner everytime. This is just an idea of mine and i dont actually know if it will make the rail glitch slower

i have never had the problem of the bent bar getting in my way

You can still do it regardless if the bars are broken or not its just a bit harder to do
