The Grand Zombie Plot line

1. Discovery of Element 115:- The 1908 Tunguska event, discovery of 115 by the Russians. On June 24, 1938 a meteorite fell in the vicinity of Chicora the USA aquires a large chunk of 115, Experiments are put on hold during WW2.

2. Shin no numa facility:- After the Germans ran out of 115 aquired from the Russians, during Hitlers alliance with Stalin, the Nazis with help from the Japanese found the Shin no numa meteorite composed of 115.

3. Kino der toten The Kino presentation was held with fragments of the element 115 from the Shin no numa meteorite on display. With more funding for the experiments they would be able to continue on a larger scale at the Der Riese facility proposed at the Kino presentation under the code name: The Giant Project. The Proto-type teleporter was used by Maxis to stun the crowd and the German high command as he disappeared in a bolt of lightening, only to reappear on the teleporters node placed in the lobby of the Kino theater. He entered the rear of the theater and walked back to the stage to the sounded of rapturous applause and cheers. The Giant project was given the green light and Group 935 was formed.

4. Der Riese before the outbreak:- Edward Richtofen was a high ranking military officer & Dr working with Dr.Maxis on Nazi super sciences collectively known as the Giant Project: Die Glocke, Xerum 525, Vril and Wonder-weapons. Richtofen was also a secret agent working for the Illuminati and has infiltrated Group 935 with plans to steal all the research for the Illuminati. It would seem that later evidence suggested that the Illuminati had kidnapped and brainwashed Richtofen to do their dirty work for them...

5. The Der Riese Incident:- To get away with this plan, Richtofen tries to kill Maxis and his daughter Sam with the experimental teleporter under orders from the Illuminati (As per the kill Maxis note found in Der Riese). Thinking that he had suceeded he then steals and hides all of Dr.Maxis research on Die Glocke, Xerum 525, Vril & Wonder-weapons. Richtofen knew he would eventually be found out about killing Sam & Maxis. He had a plan to escape death by firing squad. He began to act deranged and insane and is later committed to an Asylum.

6. The Verruckt Asylum:- Richtofen is sent to the Verruckt Asylum for his crimes of insanity. However he is allowed to continue his experiments under armed guards. Richtofen become more unstable and insane with a sadistic twist (madness is catching apparently). He endlessly scribbles on the cell walls with his own blood, numbers, strange pictures, tally marks & dates.

7. The Der Riese outbreak:- Meanwhile the tragedy at the Der Riese facility takes a turn for the worse, as Sam & Maxis now haunt the Aether realm around Der Riese and are able to travel to Shin no numa via the secret teleport route (Anywhere technology made from 115 is used, Sam & Maxis are drawn to it in the Aether realm, especially teleporters as the can spread to any teleporter at any point in time), (Remember what the team says when entering Shin no numa for the first time). Sam & Maxis are filled with hatred for the technologies that destroyed their lives and they begin to attack the Der Riese & Shin no numa Facilities. They send an endless horde of zombies & hellhounds to destroy and kill all who dare use the cursed element 115.

8. Verruckt invaded by Der Riese zombie outbreak:- The zombies breakout of Der Riese and start to spread across Germany. They reach and destroy the Verruckt Asylum. Richtofen escapes in the chaos, he heads for the allies front and surrenders to US soldiers demanding to talk with the highest ranking office available. Under operation paperclip Richtofen is recuited by OSS with the conditions that he finds the research data at Der Riese and hands it over to the OSS.

9. Nickolai & Takeos arrival on the scene:- Meanwhile a Unit of US soldiers capturers a truck containing a cargo of element 115 with a Russian officer named Nickolai guarding it and a Japanese officer Takeo in shackles is his prisoner. They are all taken back to allied HQ & the 115 is loaded onto a plane and guarded by a small unit Marines. During the flight some of the Marines & crew become violent and start to attack the Marines like crazy people, the Marines fight back by shooting the crazy men but they keep on coming. The zombies break into the cockpit and kill the pilots causing the plane to crash. The 4 surviving Marines make it to a near by airbase building, the pilot in the chaos of the outbreak was trying to head for a near by German airbase to make an emergencey landing. The plane smashed into runway killing most of the soldiers and spreading element 115 in a fiery debris with deadly smoke clouds. The events of Nacht Der Untoten unfold and the 4 Marines hold out for as long as they can.

10. The Nacht Der Untoten outbreak. Birth of a hero:- One surviver made it out of the Nacht Der Untoten incident. Tank Dempsey, fighting the horde, surviving & managing to escaping the zombie outbreak puts Tank in the eye of the OSS. They ask him to lead a mission to a place called Der Riese, Tank accepts and is given an unlikely unit to command. A crazy German officer/scientist that wants to trade the secrets of Der Riese for his asylum under operation paperclip. A drunk Russian officer who says he knows about the 115 and brags about his abilities with a gun. A Japanese officer who was the prisoner of Nickolai the Russian (this is why they hate each other). Nickolai's unit captured Takeo at a German millitary base and was escorting him back to Russian lines with the element 115 found at the base which was brought to Germany by Richtofen and Takeo from the Shin no numa facility. Richtofen is suprised to see Takeo again, it would seem he wants to trade information for his freedom aswell. Richtofen makes a fuss about being under the command of a stupid American, but he needs to keep control of himself so he can get back to Der Riese and complete his mission for the Illuminati. The OSS recover a teleporter node from a derelict Nazi theater known as Kino and the allies secretly wipe out any remaining zombies. Richtofen manages to get the Kino proto-type teleporter working again.

11. The Shin no numa outbreak:- Richtofen tells the OSS in order to recover the research data, they must use the teleporter to travel back to Shin no Numa to recover the WonderWaffle DG-2 as they will need it to travel back to the Der Riese facility. When at the Shin no numa base the team comes under attack from undead Japanese soldiers that have been irradiated by 115. Richtofen tell to team to return to the secret teleporter where he dials in the new address and shoots the teleporters controls with the DG-2 giving it the power it needs and the team arrive in Der Riese, Nickolai feels sick, Richtofen tells him it's normal, but secretly he knows that the teleporter is slowly turning them all into zombies, maybe he can find a cure for himself, but he will have to recover the research data first.

12. The return to Der Riese:- As soon as the team arrive Richtofen gathers the hidden research data and waits for an opportunity to escape from his new team mates. Just as he is about to slip away quietly a zombie horde attacks. Sam & Maxis are awakened by the activity and begin to attack trying to kill the team. The team have no choice but to fight and run. Richtofen shouts that he has a plan and, start messing with the teleporter mainframe they arrived on. He then shouts cover me I need to link the other teleporters to the mainframe and runs off to activate 3 other teleporters around the facility. "Warning you have 30 seconds to link with the mainframe". After all 3 teleporter are linked the team gained access to the Pack-a-punch machine, with the new enhanced weapons Richtofen Pap's the DG-2. With all the teleporters activated and the with the DG-3 the team make their last stand on the mainframe. As they are about to be over run and killed Richtofen activates the mainframe and shoots the horde with the DG-3 overloading the mainframe teleporter node and propelling the team into the future, 1950. But how can it be the 1950s, this place they are in is still during the war. Richtofen recognizes the place, it's the theater where Maxis presented the Prototype teleporter to Hitler and on the plans for using element 115 to win the war. Maxis gained Hitlers support for the Der Riese facility and Group 935 was founded.

13. Return to Kino der toten. Lost in time:- Richtofen is excited by the fact that the DG-3 is capable of causing time travel, But all is not well as time seems to be out of place. They are in the past? But it is the future?? The team finds advanced weapons from the future. They need them too, as a zombie horde once again attacks the team... They manage to escape Kino by overloading the teleporter with a new weapon called the Zeus Cannon. This sends the team back to 1945 where they drop out of thin air in a deserted and totally destroyed Der Riese. They make it back to Allied lines. Richtofen is discovered to be under some kind of brainwashing. The Doctors back in the US managed to break his brainwashing and he accepts working for the Americans on the 115 project. Nickolai returns to Russia with Takeo as his prisoner, for his service to the OSS... Tank Dempsey is a declared a hero and joins up with the OSS which later becomes the backbone of the CIA.

14. The Ascension outbreak:- During later experiments with the technologies from element 115 in Russia, a zombie outbreak sweeps a secret Russian base known as Ascension. Nickolai is called in by the KGB to deal with the mess. Nickolai decides to gets the old crew back together to fight the zombie horde.

15. The team head to Ascension:- JFK allows experiments with 115 to be conducted in the Pentagon during the height of the coldwar. They experiment with the teleportation devices created from the research data handed over by Richtofen. An older Richtofen is sent on a Black Ops mission with Tank Dempsey at the request of KGB agent Nickolai. Takeo is release from a Russian Detention facility called Vorkuta to help in the chaos at the Ascension facility, his zombie killing skills are sorely needed and in return Nickolai has been authorized to release Takeo for his services this time round.

16. The Pentagon outbreak. Five:- The Pentagon experiments also went badly wrong. The teleporters start to produce zombies and an attack occurs. JFK, Nixon, Castro & Mcnamara must defend the Pentagon from this threat.

17. Maxis returns from the Aether realm. The Pentagon thief:- The Pentagon teleporters do not use electricity to function as the Der Riese & Kino teleporters did. They created a digital version, transmitting a Humans molecules in a digital data stream. Unfortunately this has allowed the zombie to pass through from the Aether realm unharmed. A strange being stalked the Pentagon halls during the outbreak, some believe it is Dr.Maxis returning to steal advanced Pap'd weapons for his experiments in the Aether realm.

18. Holes in reality:- The experiments in Ascension tore a hole in time back to the original teleporter node in Kino, causing the strange time distortions seen when the Tanks team got lost in time...

19. Base on the Moon:- Back in Ascension the team discovers that the Russians know of a base on the Moon, and are attempting to Launch a manned mission using a rocket powered by a 115 fussion reactor.

20. The Antarctica Base:- The team also find details of a strange base in the Antarctica, the intel reveals that Group 935 & high ranking Nazis escaped in 1945 to the base in Antarctica with research data from Der Riese.

21. Space Races:- Further intel reveals that the base is now abandoned and that evidence left behind suggests that the Nazis escaped in Vril crafts to the Moon of all places, this is the very reason for the Ascension program. The Russians want what the Nazis have on the Moon base.

22. America joins the space race:- Tank relays this intel back to JFK at the Whitehouse, the pentagon was contained just barely. JFK knows America can't let the Russians get to the Moon base first, so he makes Nasa start working on a space program to get America to the Moon first...

23. The team become Cosmonauts:- Richtofen says to Tank that he is going to the Moon on the LUNA Rocket to find the cure???, Tank tries to stop him but the team all end up trapped on the launching rocket destine for the Moon. Richtofen tell the team how they are all turning and the only way to stop themselves to find a cure on the Nazis Moon base.

24. 115 Experiments continue on US soil:- JFK allows experiments with 115 only in a new secret base at Groom lake called Area 51. However once again a zombie outbreak occurs, but this time there are these weird Alien/Zombie hybrids that attack the JFK crew that are at Area 51 to clean up the mess.

25. The Moon landing:- Tanks team crash land on the darkside of the moon, they can see a dome in the distance. They set out on the Russian LUNA rover vehicle, they make haste for the Glass dome on the horizon.

26. The Black Sun Nazis Moon Base:- The team find that the dome is ontop of a massive building in the shape of a Swasitka they continue on inside the massive structure...

Ok I've cleaned it up a bit, still needs more work.

Two points to note here about teleporters, I'm making the assumption that time is not linear in the Aether realm, and also that activating one teleporter is like opening a window to all teleporters across the world. Even those back or forward in time, and that hitting the teleport with different types of energy changes the windows location, like how a lighting strike can fork off to another point but in a more controlled fashion.

Maybe the guy in Ascension is Maxis trying to come back through from the Aether realm? I still haven't played it yet so I can't say for sure...!?
